The Starlite Lounge is a swanky retreat perfect for a classic cocktail or soothing nightcap. The grand lobby mezzanine lounge at The Riviera includes inventive design features such as a billiards table that could have been owned by Liberace, a 30-foot video wall behind the bar featuring footage and digitally re-mastered cinematic history, and an extensive cocktail list reminiscent of a bye-gone era, all offset against 50’s architectural design and details.
Famed local pianist, saxophonist and vocalist Abie Perkins will tickle the ivories of our white grand piano while singing to a mixture of current contemporary hits and classic jazz, funk and soul masterpieces. 'Mr Keys' will be playing from 5 to 9 pm every Friday. Also, during the summer months, Rebecca Caldwell will be playing Saturday evenings from 6 to 9 pm.
Rebecca Caldwell... Voted Best Female Artist in 2010 for the SoCal live Music Competition, Rebecca's voice evokes many descriptions and a flood of objectives, not the least of which are 'haunting' and 'angelic'. Hers is a sweet, pure sound that echoes through the diverse range of her songs.
Rebecca's no angel, though. She writes about the way she feels and often her lyrics are raw, the emotion high. Her lyrical strength lies in earnest story telling. Born and raised in the small town of Arbroath, on the East coast of Scotland, Rebecca Caldwell grew up listening to music and being part of a very musical family has always known she would be a musician. Her goal is to make music ring - in the United States, the United Kingdom and beyond. Rebecca's clarion voice, her fierce and sensitive spirit, her infectious melodic proclivities will no doubt continue to reflect and refresh the world.
Abie Perkins has been in the entertainment world ever since he was 5 years old. Singer songwriter, saxophonist, choreographer, pianist, and producer, Abie has spent the last 30 years perfecting his craft as an entertainer. Having the distinct honor of opening for such names as Michael McDonald, Jay Leno, Eric Burden, and countless others, he is constantly evolving as well as learning from his peers.
Abie’s voice has been compared to the likes of Luther Vandross, Barry White, Will Downing, just to name a few, but he definitely has a unique style all his own. He is a graduate of Ball State University with a major in Entertainment Philosophy and has been entertaining fans worldwide.
