Riviera Resort & Spa – a revitalized Palm Springs hot spot which once hosted Hollywood icons such as Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr – celebrates its 50 year anniversary through December 31st, 2009.
The three-month birthday extravaganza comes on the heels of Riviera’s ambitious $70 million renovation – in which owner/operator Noble House Hotels & Resorts incorporated a host of modern amenities and stunning interior design – completed late last year. With bold artwork, sleek lines, geometric accents and plenty of lustrous color, this extraordinary property once again emanates the glitz and uber-cool attitude of mid-century Palm Springs. In fact, this legendary landmark originally opened to much fanfare in 1959, and during its 1960s heydey, was billed “Palm Springs’ largest and most famous resort.” Paying tribute to its colorful past, the property will celebrate its birthday over three months – from October 1 through December 31, 2009. During this time period, the resort will celebrate 1959s fashion, dining and salon services, offering a variety of mid-century themed offers and events, among them:
Dine Like Its 1959. The Riv’s signature dining venue, aptly named Circa 59, will offer a lavish Chef’s Menu at $59 for two.

“Love and Marriage.” Any couple that brings a marriage certificate which shows they were married in 1959 receives a special 50th Anniversary Dinner – featuring food characteristic of the era, such as Beef Wellington and New York Strip Steak -- for two at Circa 59.
Riviera Forever.” Guests can send in their most memorable personal experiences enjoyed at the Riviera and enter a drawing for a complimentary stay at the resort. Send your photos and experiences to sales@psriviera.com.
Mid-Century Style. Guests at Spa Terre Salon will be coiffed to perfection with a special $59 “Set and Style.”

“Roll Back the Clock.” Packrats take note: Riviera will match the original price for a room night or dining check – for any guest who brings in an old Riviera room or dining bill.
